Terms of Use

Applicants for free membership are required to read and agree to the following Terms of Use (TOU). By registering for free membership on CamlogConnect.com (“CamlogConnect”), you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Non-registered and public visitors to our accessible public pages are advised that CamlogConnect is not for use or viewing by the general public or non-registered users. We do not offer any guarantee of fitness for purpose to the general public or to non-registered users and you view and use our public pages at your own risk. CamlogConnect, its agents, advertisers, affiliates and sponsors will not be held responsible for direct, indirect or consequential damages issuing from use of this website by the public or non-registered users.

1. Acceptance of Terms
The services provided by CamlogConnect are subject to the following TOU. This TOU applies and is binding on all new and existing Members (individually and collectively referred to herein as “You”). Before submitting your application for Membership you are required to confirm that you have read and accept this TOU. Membership is free to qualified applicants. We do not offer any guarantee of fitness for purpose to Members and you use our website at your own risk. CamlogConnect reserves the right to update the TOU at any time without obligation to notify you. The current version of the TOU can be viewed by clicking on the "Terms of Use" link located at the bottom of all web pages. CamlogConnect, its agents, advertisers and sponsors will not be held responsible for direct, indirect or consequential damages issuing from your use of this website.

2. Description of Services
CamlogConnect is a professional, Members Only website dedicated to (i) exploration and education in the use of Camlog dental implant technology, (ii) continuing education in the field of dental implantology, and (iii) the formation of User Generated Content that is "By Camlog Users - For Camlog Users". CamlogConnect provides access to a variety of resources and tools (collectively "Services"). These Services, including video tutorials, live procedural videos, Case Reports, Tips & Techniques, Discussions and any updates, enhancements, and any new features are subject to this TOU.

3. Eligibility for Free Membership
You must be over eighteen (18), or the legal age of majority in the state or country you live in, to be eligible for Membership. No minors are allowed to join. Free Membership is open to professionals in the dental professions and dental education, such as practicing or retired dentists, implantologists, students enrolled in dental and higher education, technicians and technologists and others. Approval of Membership is at the sole discretion of the CamlogConnect administration. We reserve the right to refuse membership and while we are not obliged to explain the reasons, you may email info@camlogconnect.com requesting a review.

4. Your Membership Information
When applying for Free Membership, we require specific academic and/or professional information to qualify your membership eligibility. When you register to become a Member, you agree to: (i) provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself as prompted by our registration form (including your email address) and (ii) maintain and update your information (including your email address) to keep it true, accurate, current, and complete. We may contact you via email, telephone, regular post or other method at any time and request that you verify or re-confirm your membership information for security or other purposes. In the event that we do not receive a reply to our request your account may be suspended or terminated.

5. Security of Membership Information
We keep and store your membership information in our secure database using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology and additional security measures. We also store a copy at CamlogConnect's production facilities. While we take every practical security measure to protect your registration information we cannot guarantee 100% security. Upon agreeing to this TOU you agree to hold CamlogConnect and its partners, sponsors and designees harmless. Additionally, your registration details will be shared with Camlog Biotechnologies, who may use this information to contact you. Neither CamlogConnect nor Camlog Biotechnologies will share your registration information with any other party. You can request removal and deletion of your registration details at any time by email to support@camlogconnect.com. When your membership is approved you will be required to login to the website using your unique Email Address and Password. No other access is offered, allowed or sanctioned.

6. Your Member Account and Security Responsibilities
Once you complete the registration process and your membership has been approved and is active, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your password and protecting access to your account. As a registered Member, you are responsible for any and all activities that occur under your account login. You agree not to transfer or resell your use of or access to CamlogConnect to any third party. You agree to notify CamlogConnect immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security via email to support@camlogconnect.com. We will not be liable for any loss that you may incur as a result of someone else using your password or account, either with or without your knowledge. However, you could be held liable for losses or damages incurred by us or another party due to someone else using your account or password. Additionally, we will not be held responsible in the event that your computer is illegally or accidentally accessed and your membership details are revealed or used in any way. As a registered Member you may not use anyone else's account at any time without written permission of the account holder. As a registered Member you will have access to your account information and we strongly advise you to change your password regularly. While we shall maintain your registration information with best available security we shall not be held liable, and you agree to hold CamlogConnect, its agents, advertisers, affiliates and sponsors harmless, in the event that your details are obtained illegally or without permission through any form of unauthorized access, system hacking or other method.

7. Member Use of Services
Registered Members may use all Services on the website that are open for Member use. CamlogConnect does not provide or offer any warranty on these Services, including availability or fitness for purpose. All Services on CamlogConnect are provided “as is” and no further warranty is implied. Whilst CamlogConnect takes every opportunity to update and verify content, we do not offer any guarantee whatsoever on the correctness, suitability or fitness of any information provided. CamlogConnect provides multiple opportunities for registered Members to contribute and take part in activities on the website. Any advice, suggestion or point of view expressed by Members are the sole responsibility of said Member. CamlogConnect does not endorse, approve or disapprove such advice, suggestions or points of view or opinion. However, we reserve the right to amend, adjust or remove any content at any time. All material on CamlogConnect, whether originated by ourselves or contributed by Members is published on the clear understanding of "caveat emptor". You view and use this material at your own risk. In the case of technologies and procedures which may be displayed on the website, whether these are considered "standard", traditional, cutting-edge or experimental, such display on our website does not imply agreement, non-agreement, endorsement or non-endorsement by CamlogConnect, Camlog Biotechnologies AG (“Camlog Biotechnologies”), agents, advertisers, affiliates and sponsors. As a registered Member you agree to take all material displayed on CamlogConnect under advisement. You agree to hold CamlogConnect, its agents, advertisers, affiliates and sponsors harmless in all cases.

By sending or transmitting to us any information, suggestions, ideas, notes, concepts or any other materials (collectively, "Submitted Materials"), or by posting such Submitted Materials to any area of CamlogConnect, you (i) represent and warrant to us that you have the legal right to post or submit your material, that you have the necessary permissions, consents, or licenses to post or submit your material, and that it will not violate any law or the rights of any person or entity, and (ii) grant us and our designees a worldwide, non-exclusive, sub-licensable (through multiple tiers), assignable, transferable, royalty-free, perpetual right to use, reproduce, distribute (through multiple tiers), edit, add content and logos to, publicly perform, modify, adapt, publicly display, digitally perform and import such Submitted Materials in any and all media or through any and all means, now known or hereafter developed, without compensation to the provider of the Submitted Materials. While we will endeavor to protect author's copyright in all cases and circumstances under our direct control, we cannot provide or offer 100% guarantee of such protection.

8. Member Responsibilities
Members are fully responsible for their contributions and activities while using CamlogConnect. Members who contribute content must own the copyright of that content or have documented evidence of their right of use. In the event of copyright issues, we will not be held responsible or legally liable. We reserve the right to remove any content we consider contravenes copyright. It is the Member’s responsibility to inform CamlogConnect (info@camlogconnect.com), the Editor (editor@camlogconnect.com) or administration (support@camlogconnect.com) if there are any issues regarding copyright or right of use. Upon notification of an issue we reserve the right to remove the content. Members are expected to behave professionally in all online communications, to be considerate of others opinions and to behave in a polite and proper manner. Members who resort to "flaming" or criticising another Member on personal, professional, national, ethnic or any other grounds will be subject to sanction or suspension. Members are strongly advised to regard all information and any advices, suggestions or recommendations which may be given on CamlogConnect and/or within our Discussions fora as under advisement. By accepting this TOU you are confirming your agreement with these Member Responsibilities.

9. No Unlawful or Prohibited Use
As a condition of your free use of the Services, you agree you will not use the Services for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these terms, or by applicable local, national or other ruling law, including existing moral, civil and commercial laws. You may not post offensive, racist, nationalist or pornographic content or content that infringes on our or any third party's intellectual property or other proprietary rights or trade secrets of any party. You may not remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary rights notices contained on CamlogConnect. You may not use the Services in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair any CamlogConnect server, or the network(s) connected to any CamlogConnect server, or interfere with any other party's use and enjoyment of any of the Services. You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any Services, other accounts, computer systems or networks connected to any CamlogConnect server or to any of the Services, through hacking, password mining, spamming or any other means. You may not transmit any software or other materials that contain any virus, worm, time bomb, Trojan horse, spyware, adware or other harmful or disruptive component. You may not link from any other web site to CamlogConnect in any manner such that CamlogConnect, or any page of CamlogConnect, is “framed,” surrounded or obfuscated by any third party content, materials or branding, without our prior written authorization. You may not obtain or attempt to obtain any materials or information through any means not intentionally made available through the Services as provided. You may not harvest or collect information about CamlogConnect visitors or Members without the express consent of CamlogConnect. You may not express or imply that any statements you make are endorsed or approved by us, without our prior written consent.

10. Privacy Policy
The information we require for approval of your free Membership is used by CamlogConnect to provide the free Services outlined in this TOU. We do not share your information or details with any third party, except as outlined in our Privacy Policy which can be viewed from the link at the bottom of all website pages. CamlogConnect makes use of your generic information, such as number of visits, pages viewed etc., as well as Membership data to quantify, qualify and improve the website, and in this case we may share generic usage data with third parties for this purpose. Additionally, your registration details will be shared with Camlog Biotechnologies, who may use this information to contact you. Neither CamlogConnect nor Camlog Biotechnologies will share your registration information with any other party. You can request removal and deletion of your registration details at any time by email to support@camlogconnect.com.

11. Non-Commercial Use Limitation
Unless otherwise specified, the Services are for your personal, professional and non-commercial use. Specifically, you may not modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer, or sell any information, software, products or services obtained from the Services without prior written permission from CamlogConnect. Modification of CamlogConnect or CamlogConnect materials or use of the CamlogConnect materials for any other purpose may be a violation of our copyright and other proprietary rights, and is strictly prohibited. You may quote extracts for academic and illustrative purposes. You may republish your own contributions to CamlogConnect only after obtaining permission from the editor@camlogconnect.com, and in such event it must carry original publication details. You should contact the Editor for more details. You may promote and state that you are a Member of the CamlogConnect Community solely for the purpose of identifying your role in the Community.

12. Documents Available on Website
Permission to use Documents – such as Case Reports, white papers, press releases, datasheets, FAQs, or any content – is granted solely provided that you notify in advance the editor@camlogconnect.com and ensure that © Copyright CamlogConnect appears on all copies together with link to CamlogConnect. In such cases, there is a common-sense limit to the number of documents and number of copies which can be taken and you should email the editor@camlogconnect.com to enquire about these limits. The information you are allowed to copy from CamlogConnect must be for non-commercial use, i.e., NOT for advertising and marketing, and cannot be posted or placed on any other websites without prior written permission, except in the case of brief excerpts for illustrative or reference purposes. Specially marked documents shall not be downloaded at all. Members who are part of an accredited educational institution may download and reproduce documents for distribution in the classroom. Distribution outside the classroom requires specific permission. Use for any other purpose is expressly prohibited by law and may result in civil or criminal penalties.

13. Copyright of Camlog Trademark and of CamlogConnect
The elements of the CamlogConnect website are protected by copyright, trade dress, trademark, unfair competition, and other laws and may not be copied or imitated in whole or in part. No logo, graphic, sound or image from any CamlogConnect website may be copied or retransmitted unless expressly permitted by CamlogConnect, except when used to identify or illustrate a quotation or excerpt.

"Camlog" is a trademark and/or service mark of Camlog Biotechnologies. "CamlogConnect" is a trademark and/or service mark of Synapton Limited in partnership with Camlog Biotechnologies. All other trademarks, service marks, and logos used on CamlogConnect are the trademarks, service marks, or logos of their respective owners. Nothing contained on CamlogConnect should be construed as granting, by implication, estoppel or otherwise, any license or right to use any trademark displayed on CamlogConnect without written permission of the trademark or service mark owner. Your misuse of the trademarks displayed on CamlogConnect is strictly prohibited.

14. Use of Content as Required by Law
CamlogConnect reserves the right to store content and to forward it to third parties if this is required by law or is necessary to execute this TOU or to react following a notice received concerning a possible violation of applicable law or of bonos mores or to guarantee the rights or the personal security, respectively, of CamlogConnect, its employees, and agents, the Members and Users, sponsors, advertisers or the public.

15. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
CamlogConnect provides the free Services to registered Members only “as is” and on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, CamlogConnect excludes all representations and warranties (whether express or implied by law), including the implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, compatibility, security and accuracy. Some laws do not allow for the exclusion of implied warranties, so depending on your jurisdiction, the above exclusions may not apply to you. CamlogConnect does not guarantee the timeliness, completeness or performance of the website or any of the content, or that CamlogConnect will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that defects will be corrected, or that CamlogConnect (or the server(s) on which it is hosted) is free of viruses or other harmful components. You are responsible for obtaining and maintaining all telephone, computer hardware and other equipment needed to access and use CamlogConnect, and all other charges related thereto. You assume total responsibility and risk for your use of CamlogConnect. No opinion, advice, or statement on CamlogConnect shall create or imply any warranty. Your use of CamlogConnect and any materials provided is entirely at your own risk. We neither endorse nor are responsible for any opinion, advice, information, or statement made or displayed on CamlogConnect or Forums by third parties, whether such third parties are visitors to CamlogConnect, Members of our community or otherwise. We are not responsible for any errors or omissions in articles or postings, for hyperlinks embedded in messages, or for any results obtained from the use of such information. Under no circumstances will we or our affiliates or agents be held liable for any loss or damage caused by your usage or reliance on information obtained through CamlogConnect. We cannot and do not take responsibility for the veracity, reliability, or completeness of any opinion, advice, information, or statement available on CamlogConnect.

In the event that you as a registered Member discover content on CamlogConnect which you believe contravenes this TOU, we request that you contact us at support@camlogconnect.com with a description of the material to be checked and the location (URL) where such material can be found on CamlogConnect, as well as your contact information to enable us to contact you. We will try to address your concerns as soon as reasonably practicable.

While we try to ensure that all content is correct at the time of publication no responsibility is accepted by or on behalf of CamlogConnect, its sponsors or advertisers for any errors, omissions or inaccurate content on the website. CamlogConnect, its sponsors and advertisers shall, in particular, not be liable for any of the following losses or damage (whether such damage or losses were foreseen, foreseeable, known or otherwise): (a) loss of data; (b) loss of revenue or anticipated profits; (c) loss of business; (d) loss of opportunity; (e) loss of goodwill or injury to reputation; (f) losses suffered by third parties; or (g) any indirect, consequential, special or exemplary damages arising from the use of CamlogConnect. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law the sole and exclusive maximum and aggregate liability of us for all damages, losses and causes of action (whether in contract, tort (including, without limitation, negligence or otherwise), shall be the [total amount paid by you], if any, to access CamlogConnect. Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages so some of the above limitations may not apply to certain users in some countries. To the extent permitted by applicable law, all users of CamlogConnect understand and agree that (i) the mutual agreements made in this Section 15 reflect a reasonable allocation of risk, and (ii) the parties would not have entered into this TOU without these limitations on liability. By agreeing to this TOU you agree to the terms outlined here.

16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold us, our officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives harmless from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees), or other expenses that arise directly or indirectly out of or from: (i) your breach of this TOU; (ii) any allegation that any materials that you submit to us or transmit to CamlogConnect infringe or otherwise violate the copyright, trademark, trade secret or other intellectual property or other rights of any third party (including, without limitation, any Submitted Materials); and (iii) your activities in connection with CamlogConnect. We reserve the right, at our own expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, and in such case, you agree to cooperate with our defense of such claim.

17. Termination
This TOU shall remain effective until terminated in by either party. You may terminate this TOU by requesting the deletion of your free Membership in an email to support@camlogconnect.com at any time. We reserve the right to immediately terminate this TOU, and/or your access to and use of CamlogConnect or any portion thereof, at any time and for any reason, with or without cause. Upon termination of this TOU by either party, your right to use CamlogConnect shall immediately cease, and you shall destroy all materials obtained from CamlogConnect and all copies thereof, whether made under the terms of this TOU or otherwise.

18. General
If any of these terms are determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable by reason of the laws of any state or country in which these terms are intended to be effective, then to the extent and within the jurisdiction in which that term is illegal, invalid or unenforceable, it shall be severed and deleted from these terms and the remaining terms shall survive and continue to be binding and enforceable. This is the entire agreement between us relating to the subject matter herein and supersedes and any and all prior or contemporaneous written or oral agreements between us. This TOU is not assignable, transferable or sub-licensable by you. Nothing in this TOU shall confer or create any rights or benefits enforceable by any person who is not a party to this TOU.

The failure or delay of CamlogConnect to exercise or enforce any right in these terms does not waive our right to enforce that right.

Any rights not expressly granted herein are reserved.

CamlogConnect is developed by Synapton Limited and Camlog Biotechnologies AG, and operated by Synapton Limited. This TOU shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ireland which shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any legal disputes or claims.
